What We Believe
Throughout Scripture, God reveals Himself as “the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob” — a God whose purposes, promises, and plans unfold across generations, not in isolation.
“And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to their children… to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”
— Luke 1:17
We believe this Scripture speaks powerfully to the Church today — calling us to restore spiritual connection between generations so that God’s people may be prepared, strengthened, and united.
We Believe in the Value of Every Season of Life
We believe the older generation — whom we honour by calling Legends (older believers, typically 60+, who carry lived faith, wisdom, and experience) — remain essential to the life and health of the Church.
There is no concept of retirement in God’s Kingdom.
There are only different seasons of service.
“They will still bear fruit in old age; they will stay fresh and green.”
— Psalm 92:14
We Believe Wisdom Is Meant to Be Shared
We believe that wisdom, faith, and experience are meant to be passed on, not sidelined
information overload
confusion about truth
online relationships
and growing isolation
authenticity
perspective
resilience
and lived examples of faithfulness
We believe God has already placed these gifts within the Church - including in its Legends.
We Believe the Church Is a Family, Not Age Silos
We believe the Church was designed to function as one family, not as disconnected age groups.
While age-specific ministries bring many benefits, we believe they function best when supported by intergenerational relationships, spiritual fathering, and spiritual mothering.
wisdom can be lost
purpose can fade
and connection can weaken
faith is strengthened
unity is restored
and the whole Church is enriched
We Believe Church Leadership Plays an Important Role
We believe church leadership plays an important role in creating space for this reconnection to take place.
casting vision
equipping Legends
and supporting leaders as they discern what this looks like in their unique context
We honour the authority, wisdom, and responsibility of local church leadership and work in partnership — never independently.
We Believe The Church is Strengthened When Generations Walk Together
When generations are intentionally connected, the Church begins to experience renewed life in the following ways:

purpose is reignited

wisdom is released

families are strengthened

the Church becomes more whole
This is about God’s people walking together across generations, so that the Church may be strengthened and God's purposes fulfilled.
